I would like to thank everyone who came to the Made to Measure 2nd launch party, it was a great success and a lot of good times, especially the after party in one of my favourite local bars, 'Under the Stairs', who I would also like to thank as we have a bit of a fashion take over as the black and white photos prove. Here are some photos for those who missed out.....

Made to Measure has been a great success for Godiva this year and since March we have been working with customers to create affordable couture dresses for every occasions. Rowanjoy has created a few more designs to choose from for the Christmas party season and here are some examples of the her latest designs. These photos are off one dress sample and it made up in a fabric. These dresses will work well in any fabric. Average price depending of fabric is £150.
Choose a dress, work with Rowan to decide what fabrics combinations you wish for and a dress will be your to wear under 2 weeks! Stand out this Christmas!
We are very pleased to announced the arrival of new hand made luxury lingerie label Littlesisterlucy.
Made from silks, cottons, viscose this lace trimmed and sweetly embellished work is by Edinburgh based designer Lucy who graduate a while back from ECA. Her collection is insipred by chocolate truffles and consists of lace twin sets, silk bras, silk knickers, eye masks, lace brooches, dresses, and french lace trimmed knickers, a personal favourite of mine and will be going on my Santa list. This collection has sold immediately and an be ordered for Christmas!
It's been a long time since we did the Go-reborn collective in August. For those who never popped down to visit it here is the website to jog your memory, http://www.go-reborn.co.uk/
We invited local artist and illustrators to come down and invited them to work on a 2 m by 2m canvas each. It was a fantastic opportunity for the artists to display their talent and be part of this local pop-up guerilla collective.
Their only brief was that the Godiva team of designers would be abstracting the final piece into something else and here is the first installment of what we have decided to do with Matt Swan's illustration canvas! Each doll is stuff with pillow stuffing and fabric cut offs, and backed with tartan tweed/wool.
Matt is in his final year at ECA and spent 3 days completing this work at the go-reborn studio space.
These dolls would look great on and sofa, bed, chair, mantle or keeping just you company. Add some individuality to your home and support talented designers. They will make the perfect Christmas present for the discerning and determinedly different. Each doll also come wrapped with an individual information card.
Let us knw what you think!

I have been stocking Gilly Seagraves fairtrade knitwear label EKA since she began many year ago & when Godiva was just beginning it's relationship with new new designers at number 54 west port. It has been really wonderful watching Eka grow in success and see her designs evolve. From 1920's inspired cloche hats, headbands, ribbons, old skool mitts with string. Her design are stylish, classic in a range of striking colours and great for the cold winter days! This year is no exception and once again Gilly has added a new menwear design to her portfolio. The first box has arrived this morning and is in store now! Combat the the cold in style and add them to your Christmas list!
